Put the FUN in Art FUNdamentals!
Learn the elements and principles of art while having fun! The instructor will prompt students with exploratory questions about art, such as 'What is line? What is value? What is proportion?', and give examples of different types of art and techniques. Students will create art related to their interests while also advancing their technical understanding of art.
Hybrid Lesson/Open studio class- Lessons in the first half of each class will consist of handouts for the students’ reference, instructor examples, and sample work from other artists. Students decide on projects, and instructor assists by providing drawing/painting demonstrations and advice on composition, structure, and colors. Students can work independently during the open studio portion of the class, or ask instructor for help when they need it.
